PUPILS in a year group at a Taunton primary school are being told to stay home today (Monday, January 24).
A message has been sent to parents of Year 1 children at Bishop Henderson C of E Primary School explaining the decision "owing to staff pressures due to Covid".
A spokesperson for The Friends of Bishop Henderson Primary School said yesterday (Sunday): "An e-mail has been sent to all parents in Year 1 explaining that we are unable to open Year 1 tomorrow owing to staff pressures due to Covid.
"The situation will be reassessed once staff have PCR results back tomorrow lunchtime (Monday) and we will be back in contact then.
"Mrs White (headteacher Rachel White) sends her sincere apologies as we realise how difficult this is for families. Thanks all for your understanding."
