A CHARITY is looking to recruit volunteers to raise puppies and guide dogs.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has an office in Bristol and is now looking for volunteers across Somerset.

The association’s aim is to raise puppies to keep providing services to both adults and children.

Pat Janecka, volunteering coordinator for Somerset, said: “We are looking for puppy raisers and the people we are trying to reach are ideally people with all the time in the world as this is a full-time role. We are looking, for example, for pensioners and people who are passionate.”

The charity has celebrated its 90th anniversary last October and provides services for both adults and children.
