TAUNTON Town Football Club confirmed last night (February 3) that they have signed Prince Henry on an initial one month loan from Bristol City.

The 18-year-old striker is a product of the Bristol City Academy and is now a member of the club’s Under 23 squad.

He began the 2021/22 season on loan at Hungerford Town and more recently has been on loan at Weston-super-Mare where he scored six goals in 17 games.

Taunton fans may remember Henry from earlier late last year as he has come up against the Peacocks three times this season.

The signing of a striker is to offer more depth up front after Gethyn Hill picked up a nasty injury in Taunton's match against King's Langley.

Manager Rob Dray said: “It was imperative to get a forward after Gethyn's nasty injury.

"Prince showed real pace and intent against us earlier in the season and we are thankful to Brian Tinnion and the work Meaks has put in to get this loan agreed.”
