DULVERTON will host the first in a series of classical music concerts in April.
Caroline Clipsham will give a recital of piano pieces including works by Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms, and Rachmaninov.
Caroline has won numerous scholarships and prizes during her lifetime in music.
She has performed at the Wigmore Hall and St. John’s, Smith Square in London as well as in performances around Europe, Canada, New Zealand, and Eastern Europe.
The venue for the recital will be the premises of Exmoor Studios, in the centre of Dulverton.
The building is a converted bank that has been re-purposed as a recording and performance space, with broadcast quality sound and lighting equipment.
It is a small, intimate space and the organiser, Nigel Penfold, believes that it is particularly suited to solo performances of classical music.
The performers will not be distanced from the audience, and the personal contact between the music, the player, and the audience will be enhanced.
The concert will take place on April 2.
Copies of Caroline’s CDs and DVDs will be available for purchase at £10 each. Tickets are £15.00, and will include a glass of wine or soft drink.
They can be purchased from www.bookwhen.com/classic.
