A community run LGBTQ+ group in Taunton is set to celebrate its fourth birthday at the Taunton Live and Pride event on July 16.
The group will have a stall at the event and is currently looking for volunteers and donations to help out.
Since it started four years ago, Taunton Gay Group has been bringing LGBTQ+ people in the area together to socialise in local venues, make friends and feel less isolated.
Over the past four years, Taunton has hosted its first pride festival, and has also used rainbow lighting to illuminate Goodlands Gardens.
This year, Taunton is hosting an even bigger pride festival than last year thanks to the removal of all Covid-19 restrictions.
The festival will take place in Vivary Park on Saturday, July 16, and will feature stages, street art, theatre, comedy, and dance, as well as both literary and wellbeing areas.
There will also be a pride parade for the festival, along with an after party for those attending.
