GLASTONBURY Festival is set to return in June after two years away due to the Covid pandemic, with around 210,000 people expected to attend the event at Worthy Farm.

The festival will take place between Wednesday, June 22 and Sunday, June 26 and will support charities including Oxfam, WaterAid, Greenpeace and the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

It was announced in October that Billie Eilish will become the festival’s youngest-ever solo headliner in the Friday night slot on the Pyramid Stage following her performance on the Other Stage in 2019.

In March, the organisers revealed that former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will headline on Saturday night, with American rapper Kendrick Lamar closing the festival on Sunday.

Diana Ross will perform in the Sunday afternoon legends slot on the Pyramid Stage, two years after she was first scheduled to perform.

On Tuesday, April 12, Glastonbury Festival made its first area announcement by revealing the Field of Avalon line-up poster, featuring McFly, Sugababes and The Damned.

Just over a week later, the line-up poster was revealed for Silver Hayes, an area with four stages that will bring "all manner of UK club and festival sounds" to Somerset.

At the end of April, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis McLaughlin won the festival's Emerging Talent Competition to secure his place on a main stage.

Since then, the festival revealed several stage-ups per week up until May 30, when the full schedule and set times were released.
