- An "immediate road closure" was required on the B3190 at Cleeve Hill (West Street), Watchet, Travel Somerset has announced.
- The county council's road information service confirmed the road closure at 11:05am.
- Warning alarms were triggered just after midnight, causing the 'Road Closed' signs to be illuminated.
- County council infrastructure manager: "From our initial findings it would appear that these triggers were caused by another act of vandalism. The road is currently closed and will remain closed until we can confirm that it is safe to reopen."
- It is not known when the road might re-open.
