AFTER a two-year absence, the Glastonbury Dragons hosted their annual May fayre at the Glastonbury Abbey Abbots Kitchen field.

The Glastonbury Dragons are a community interest company that aims to promote the Dragon May and Samhain (October) celebrations in the town.

The dragons “emerged from their secret lair” to make an appearance at the fayre, which was free for all to attend.

As well as life-size dragon models, the fayre featured a variety of dragon-themed festivities, including stalls ran by talented locals.

Stalls at the event sold unique memorabilia like dragon skin, dragon eggs, and handmade clay sculptures.

Jewellery, clothing, candles, and even stained glass could also be found at some of the stalls at the fayre.

Glastonbury Country Market also had a stall at the event, selling locally made baked goods to those attending.

In terms of entertainment, there were live music performances from Jenny Bliss, the Glastonbury Dragons Drummers, and more.

The Glastonbury Dragons’ Facebook page has since thanked everyone that came along, and urges those who took pictures to tag them with the hashtag #GlastonburyDragons.
