A FIRST school based in Frome will be holding a fair on May 27th to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

St John’s C of E VA First School are hosting the celebration for pupils, staff, family, and friends to attend.

Pupils from the school’s ‘Maypole Squad’ have been learning several traditional dances which will be performed at the fair.

The school choir will also be performing the number one song from every decade of the Queen’s reign.

There will also be a teddy tombola stall, with all the soft toys donated from pupils and staff at St John’s.

The owner of a local café serving artisan ice cream will also be at the fayre to reveal two winning ice cream recipes designed by St John’s pupils.

Jude Kelly, owner of Café La Strada in Frome, will pick two winning recipes to be served at the fayre and at her café.
