WESSEX Water has announced an emergency closure of a road in a rural area near Taunton due to a leak.
Stanmoor Road, north of Cutts, near Stoke St Gregory on the Somerset Levels, will be closed 24 hours a day from next Monday (May 9).
Traffic will be prohibited from using the stretch of road for a maximum of five days up to next Friday (May 13).
A Wessex Water spokesperson said: "This is urgent work to repair a leak in the road, with a closure needed for a maximum of five days so we fix our main quickly and safely.
"We’re sorry for any inconvenience this causes."
