PLANS have been unveiled to convert a former commercial premises into a home.
A change of use application for the property in Kingston Road, Taunton, has been lodged with Somerset West and Taunton Council.
The building, which was originally built as part of a 17th century farmhouse that formed part of the Hestercombe estate, has more recently housed a monumental masons and memorial business.
Before that is contained a music shop.
The applicant now wants to convert it into a self-contained annexe to the main home.
Internal and external work would be carried out at the building, which has been vacant for some time.
The main project involves alterations to the shop front and re-thatching of the roof, part of which has already been undertaken.
