THERE is still a police presence at Wiveliscombe following the arrest of three people on suspicion of murder.

A number of police vehicles are in Stockers Close and police tape has been put up around a property near the car park in North Street.

It comes as investigations continue into an incident ahead of the death of a man in his 50s.

Officers were called to Stockers Close at around 8.45pm on Tuesday (May 17) following reports that a man had been assaulted.

Police and an ambulance crew attended the scene and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital, where he later died.

His name has not yet been released by police and the cause of death will not be revealed until a post mortem has been carried out.
