A TAUNTON man has been charged in connection with a police investigation into the death of a man last year.
Elliott Cripps, 27, of Ashbourne Crescent, is charged with one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
The allegation relates to the death of Jason Page, 51, (pictured below) following an incident outside the BP petrol station in Chalfont Way, Lower Earley, near Reading on March 31, 2012.
Sabeur Trabelsi, 43, of Kings Road, Reading, has been charged with one count each of manslaughter and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Cripps and Trabelsi have been bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 15.
At the time of Jason's death, his family issued a tribute saying: “Jason, it’s so hard to express how we feel, we can’t believe you’re gone.
“I won’t say you ‘were’, instead you ‘are’ loved and missed so much by so many.
“Our memories of you will live on in our minds and our love for you will live on in our hearts.
“If the love we have could have saved you… you would have lived forever.
“Fly with the angels.”
