THE fiancée of a man who died following an incident at his home in Wiveliscombe says she doesn't know how she will cope without her "loving, caring" partner.

Mandy Lockyer and Jason Lock, who died in hospital last week, had known each other all their lives.

Jason, aged 56, was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital, in Bristol, with serious injuries following the incident in Stockers Close on Tuesday evening last week (May 17).

He died at 1.26am on Thursday (May19) after failing to regain consciousness.

Daniel Bond, 34, and Lee Conlon, 37, both of Claremont Crescent, Weston-super-Mare, have since appeared in court charged with Jason's murder and have been remanded in custody.

Mandy said: "I've known Jason all my life.

"We used to go to play school together at St Andrews Church Hall and went on to the primary school and Kingsmead School in Wiveliscombe.

"We'd been together as a couple about 16 years and had been engaged for a number of years.

"We were just happy in our own little bubble."

Jason, who also attended Somerset College of Art and Technology (SCAT), in Taunton, worked locally for EPS Services and Tooling, based in Sandys Moor.

He enjoyed motor racing and pottering around the house.

Mandy said: "He was very practical and hardworking.

"He doted on our two granddaughters and they're going to miss him.

"It's left a huge hole in my life and in the lives of a lot of other people.

"He had a brother and sister and three half sisters and we're all absolutely devastated. We're all offering comfort to each other at a difficult time.

"All Jason and my plans have now just gone in a heartbeat.

"We were going to take the grandchildren up to Harry Potter World in October and were hoping to get away ourselves at some stage."

The couple had travelled widely to places such as the United States, Prague, Tunisia, Sardinia, Malta and Lanzarote.

Mandy added: "Jason was a fantastic person.

"He was loving and caring.

"I don't know how I'm going to go on without him.

"I just miss him so much.

"To be taken away in such tragic circumstances, it's just not fair. He didn't deserve this.

"The police, the ambulance crew and my neighbours have all been so fantastic, kind and caring."
