TAUNTON-based Albert Goodman has been revealed as the best accountancy firm to work for in the UK at an awards ceremony.

The accolade was announced by TV and sports presenter Dan Walker at the Best Companies 2022 live event last Friday (May 20).

The Best Companies list has recognised the chartered accountancy firm as a leader in its field following a firm-wide survey assessment.

Albert Goodman was ranked in eight categories, including personal growth, wellbeing and teamwork.

The company has entered the survey for a number of years and a spokesperson for the firm said it was testament to "the whole team approach that makes the organisation so successful and a great place to work".

Albert Goodman also retained its two-star accreditation as an outstanding place to work and proudly featured as the 17th best firm to work for in the South West, moving up 18 positions from last year's ranking.

Sarah Bowden, the firm's head of HR and recruitment, said, “We are delighted with the results from Best Companies this year.

"People are at the heart of our business and employee engagement for us is paramount to the success of our firm.

“We constantly review measures to encourage employees to have a good work life balance and are pleased that employees enjoy working within their teams and can see that we support personal growth by creating opportunities for employees to have the career they aspire to.

“Being live on air and receiving this fantastic recognition has to be one of the standout moments for the firm. It was truly exciting.”
