Students at St John's Infant School in Glastonbury celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with fun, games and festivities.

The children spent time working hard on their homemade Jubilee crowns, which were then displayed by pupils in their full glory on the fantastic parade through Glastonbury High Street.

The children looked great in their colourful crowns, complete with decorated Jubilee themed wooden spoons to top off the look.

The celebrations didn't stop there, however, as the next stop was a trip to the sunny seaside town of Lyme Regis, where the students were able to enjoy playing in the sand, splashing in the sea, and even burying their teachers’ feet.

Staff were extremely proud of the students who were so well behaved and allowed everyone to have a brilliant day at the beach, and the trip went down so well that the Headteacher is planning on making this an annual event.
