POLICE will offer crime prevention advice in Priorswood, Taunton, after receving “several reports” of thefts from cars. 

Avon and Somerset Police received the reports overnight on June 5-6 in the Priorswood area. 

A police community support officer (PCSO) will be joined by colleagues at two locations at the start of the week with advice and information on marking property.

They will also be willing to discuss other matters of concern residents may have.

The Taunton neighbourhood policing team posted on Facebook: “We received several reports overnight on the 5th to the 6th of June in the Priorswood area.

“If you have any information in relation to these incidents, please call 101 and quote reference number 5218203991.

“This information will be accessible to the north Taunton team.”

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed the Facebook post relates to a number of reported thefts from cars in the area that night. 

CCTV and house-to-house enquiries are taking place.

The post adds: “PCSO George and colleagues will be in the following locations with crime prevention advice, information on how to mark your property and to discuss any other matters you may be concerned about.”

The first session will take place on The Green in Stoney Furlong on Monday, June 13 between 6pm and 7pm. 

The second session will be held in Eastwick Park, Cleeve Road, on Tuesday, June 14 between 4pm and 6pm.
