TAUNTON Town are set to travel 6,782 miles in reverse trips in the season ahead in the National League South.

The 24-team league features teams on the east coast of England like Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels, Concord Rangers and Billericay Town.

In a division which has only a small few on the west side of England, Taunton Town's closest round trip in the 2022-23 campaign will be 102 miles to and from Bath City.

The furthest complete journey from the Cygnet Health Care Stadium will be 448 miles to Braintree Town, closely followed by 440 miles to Dover Athletic.

The total mileage is just over the length of 100,000 football pitches stacked end to end and would take a crow as far as Delhi, India if it took off from Taunton.

The aforementioned sum could of course be extended if and when Town are drawn away from home in either the League Cup or FA Cup.

The National League South fixtures will be published on Wednesday, July 6.
