THE Museum of Somerset has welcomed a new café provider at the Courtyard Cafe.

Located within the museum, the cafe is now run by husband-and-wife team Trevor and Shona Jenkins.

The couple also run Coffee Blue, a mobile barista coffee service in Taunton and recently the business was named ‘Best Mobile Barista Coffee Service in Somerset’ at the Southern Enterprise Awards hosted by the SME News.

To add to their recent success, the pair were also shortlisted as 'Start Up Company of the Year' at the Somerset Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

The Courtyard Café will be selling their award-winning coffee, which combines beans from three continents to create a delicious espresso base for lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and more.

Trevor said: “The Arabica beans we use are grown between 1,200 and 2,100 metres above sea level in Brazil, Rwanda and India. This higher elevation produces a denser bean and creates a more flavoursome cup of coffee.

“As well as great-tasting coffee we also pride ourselves on offering exceptional customer service and really listening to our visitors.”

On the menu at the Courtyard Cafe are freshly-made sandwiches, pastries, cakes, paninis and soups. These include vegan and gluten-free options.

There is also a changing menu of specials and seasonal fare, including cream teas and iced lattes over the summer.

Beer, cider and wine are also available to enjoy in the sunshine of the enclosed courtyard. For families, there are ‘little persons lunches’ and children's drinks including milkshakes.

The Courtyard Café is open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
