The college’s recent Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rating, and long-standing reputation for high results, coupled with an Ofsted ‘Good’ residential provision, means boarding and flexi-boarding are becoming increasingly popular with young people looking for a taste of independent living.
The Sixth Form College provides affordable boarding, offering excellent standards of care, education and facilities comparable to independent schools, but without the associated tuition fees. Oak House is a purpose-built modern facility, with single and twin en-suite bedrooms, and includes 24-hour pastoral care.
Sixth-form boarding is an increasingly popular option providing excellent preparation for university life or employment away from home. Students benefit from the support of dedicated house parents as they ease into the independence of adulthood. Huish’s unique Study Programmes offer incredible variety, with over 45 courses to choose from and the option to combine A Level and Vocational qualifications.
Alongside their studies, students benefit from Huish’s EnRICH programme which encompasses a range of additional opportunities aimed at developing students into well-rounded individuals and maximising their progression potential.
