LAST week Taunton Town Football Club held a 'Champions Dinner' for fans, players and staff to formally celebrate the incredible 2021/22 season at the club.

There were many distinguished guests at the event including Taunton mayor Sue Lees as well as a lot of the victorious Taunton Town squad.

The evening was filled with good food and entertainment at the Cooper Associates County Ground, home of Somerset Cricket.

As well as the entertainment, guests were able to relive the title winning season in the form of video as highlights from key points of the campaign were shown on the big screen.

After that hosts Jake Crump and Josh Perkins ran through some player and staff awards as well as a raffle and a live auction.

Money raised from the auction was donated to support Mondli Khumalo, a North Petherton cricketer currently in hospital after being attacked.

Overall it was a very successful and enjoyable night that will live long in the memory of the fans as will of course the title winning campaign.

For now though, the club turns their attention to the upcoming season in the National League South.
