FILM crews are in Wells to work on the BBC children’s show Dodger.

The shooting of the second season of the show, which stars Christopher Eccleston, is going to take place in Wells Cathedral.

Crews are setting up today and filming will start tomorrow.

It was previously shown on CBBC but is now moving to BBC1 for season two.

The show follows the exploits of the infamous pickpocket, The Artful Dodger, and Fagin's gang as they find ingenious ways to survive the grim and exploitative conditions of early Victorian London in the 1830s.

Former Doctor Who actor, Eccleston portrays Fagin, starring alongside Billy Jenkins and Rhys Thomas.

Wells has also recently hosted part of the shooting of a film based on the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons.
