THE Milverton and District Garden Club held their annual Flower Show on Saturday July 16 at the Victoria Room in Milverton.

People from the village and surrounding areas enjoyed an action-filled schedule at the Flower Show as the warmer weather made for a great event.

This year the Flower Show began at 2.30pm on Saturday and featured a number of classes in different fields of gardening and also arts and crafts.

Show classes included: flowers, pot plants, fruit and vegetables, floral arrangements, cookery, handicrafts, art and photography, children’s classes (6 years old and under, 7 to 12 years old), miscellaneous and home brew corner.

There was also special awards and trophies for competition winners from the year.

On offer to guests was delicious homemade teas and an exciting prize draw on the day.

From all reports it was another successful flower show for the people of Milverton.
