THE driver of this vehicle has been warned he faces a day in court.
The vehicle was stopped at Junction 26 (Wellington) of the M5 today (Wednesday, July 27).
Officers weighed the vehicle and discovered it was carrying much more than the legally permitted weight.
The vehicle's axle 2 had a load of 4,240kg - that's 1,990kg or 88 per cent over the permitted 2,250kg.
And the vehicle had a gross weight of 6,460kg - 2,960kg or 84 per cent over the permitted 3,500kg.
Avon and Somerset Police's roads policing unit posted on Twitter, saying: "Day in court awaits the driver.
"Overloading = dangerous!!"
