TAUNTON Titans are gearing up for their second season in the National One Rugby competition and many fans will be curious to know which players will be lining up for the club.

Head coach Tony Yapp confirmed earlier this month there has been some departures but also some key signings.

He said: "After a relatively successful first season in Nat 1 the challenge now is to go one better and work hard to try and finish higher again in the coming season.

"We’ve learnt so many lessons from last season regarding our strengths and our work on’s and it’s safe to say, that teams this season will know a lot more about what to expect.

During the off season we lost a few noticeable players, however there have been some signings as well.

Lewis Webb, Will Norton, Harry Tarling, Hallam Chapman, Dan Swain, James Keay, Jack Walsh and Aron Struminski have all left the team for various reasons.

Jay Toogood (Scrumhalf), Jordan Gott (Flyhalf), Will Vaughn (Prop), Michael Owen (Hooker), Sam Knott (Second Row), Iwan Jenkins (Flyhalf), Ollie Rice (Second Row), and Charlie Walker-Blair (Backrow) have all signed on for the season ahead.

The team will also welcome back Connor Baker and Freddie Fraser after their season long injuries.

Yapp added: "All the players above leave with our best wishes, and we can’t thank them enough for what they have done for TRFC during their time with our club."
