A HIT and run driver who injured a man at Milverton has been jailed.
Ashley Aaron James Fraser-Warner, 25, was sentenced at Taunton Magistrates' Courts after he pleaded guilty to five motoring offences committed on February 20. 2020.
Fraser-Warner, of Charles Street, Weymouth, admitted failing to report an accident or show proof of insurance after causing personal injury to Jake David Andrews on the B3227 at Milverton.
He was told an eight-month (concurrent) custodial sentence reflected the seriousness of the offence "in a domestic context" and the impact it had on the victim.
He was also jailed for eight months along with a 12-month driving ban for failing to report an accident.
There was no separate penalty for the offences of driving without the correct licence, driving without due care and attention and for driving without insurance on the B3227 at Wiveliscombe.
Fraser-Warner was ordered to pay £300 compensation.
