STUDENTS and staff at a secondary school ran around the school field to raise money for charity.
Heathfield Community School held its own Race for Life event before the start of the summer holiday
The fun event raised more than £5,500 for Cancer Research, with the final total still to be calculated.
A school spokesperson said: "A huge thank you to everyone for their generosity.
"We all had a brilliant day raising money for a fantastic cause and we will announce the final total to the community in September.
"We wish all our students and staff a fantastic summer."
