Young families recently enjoyed a host of fun activities at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton

The museum is holding a series of monster-themed activities from now until Thursday, September 1.

At the monster masks and magnets session on Tuesday, August 2, youngsters had the opportunity to make scary masks based on the monsters from their imagination. They also bravely faced the task of making a monster magnet.

There will be another similar event on Thursday, September 1 and in the meantime, a whole host of other activities will be taking place at the museum throughout the month.

Children’s author and illustrator Kristina Stephenson has created a special trail for young visitors based on her book, The Museum of Marvellous Things which can be enjoyed every day.

There will also be monster finger puppets, book swap and storytelling, monster dream catchers and games to keep young people entertained over the summer holidays.
