THE owners of an Italian eaterie in Taunton are doing their bit to encourage people to continue to eat out - despite the spiralling cost of living.
Next month, diners at Venezia, in Station Road, are being offered 25 per cent off their food bills on three days each week.
They say it is in return for customers sticking by the Station Road restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a social media post to customers, they say: "Since the cost of living was increased up to 30 per cent this year and with a lot of people struggling to go out and eat in the restaurants/pubs, we are offering 25 per cent off your food bill during September, Monday-Wednesday.
"You helped us during Covid-19 and our business is still running because of your support, so is our time to step up and give something back.
"We do invite other businesses as well to join our cause and support the Taunton community.
"We are together in this."
