POLICE officers were sent out to a village near Taunton to reports of anti-social behaviour.
A couple of Police Community Support Officers conducted patrols in Ham, near Creech St Michael, yesterday evening (Monday, August 8).
The initiative followed reports of misbehaviour by the river.
Only last month, the leadership team at Heathfield Community School wrote to parents and carers asking them to speak to their children about their actions in Ham.
It came after a number of people living in the area contacted the school to report young people's "dangerous and anti-social behaviour".
A number of young people were said to be taking risks by jumping into the water and also "behaving inappropriately towards residents and their property".
