A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the unfluence of drugs in and around Wellington last night (August 27).
Wellington Neighbourhood Police were alerted to a female driver who appeared to be driving while intoxicated in Rockwell Green last night (Saturday, August 27).
The driver was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
A spokesperson from Wellington Neighbourhood Policing said: "Following reports of a female who appeared to be intoxicated whilst driving a vehicle in Rockwell Green last night, officers made their way to the area and stopped a vehicle nearby.
"The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and for possession of a controlled substance."
The police added that they were grateful for the public reports on the incident.
They said: "Thank you to those who took the time to call the police and make us aware. Your help and support is very much appreciated."
