THE new headteacher of a school on the outskirts of Taunton has been named - a month after she was appointed.
Hannah Jones will take up the post at Heathfield Community School at the start of the academic year (September).
She will be in post for 12 months.
A Somerset County Council spokesperson has said “Heathfield Community School has appointed a new head teacher, Ms Hannah Jones.
"Ms Jones is an experienced school leader with over 12 years of experience in senior leadership teams.
"Ms Jones has joined for 12 months from being acting interim principal at Cabot Learning Federation’s Hans Price Academy in Weston-super-Mare.
"Cabot Learning Federation has been appointed to undertake leadership and improvement support to Heathfield Community School following a tender process.”
The foundation was called in after Heathfield received a damning Ofsted report earlier this year, followed by the resignation of headteacher Peter Hoare.
