A GROUND floor lock up shop in a West Somerset village has been sold after attracting plenty of interest from potential buyers.
Carter Jonas handled the sale of the Wheelhouse Gallery in the centre of Porlock off a guide price of £285,000.
Over the shop on the ground floor of the detached property is a two-bedroom apartment.
Carter Jonas partner Stephen Richards said the first floor of the property would make an ideal holiday let due to its location.
He added: “We received strong interest with the majority of purchasers looking to convert the property into a large holiday let due to its location in the centre of Porlock.
"We also received strong interest from local purchasers who were looking to open up a business.
"Retail occupiers ranged from an artist, hairdresser through to a bicycle shop.”
