THERE promises to be plenty of family fun at a fund dog show in aid of St Giles Animal Rescue.
Some of the charity's rescue dogs will put in an appearance at the event at Hatch Beauchamp Village Hall and playing fields on Sunday, September 11, from 11am to 4pm.
As well as more than 15 different local stalls, St Giles will have its own stalls which will hold a tombola, items to buy and fun and games to get involved with.
There will also be doggy ice cream on sale from Taunton Dairy Parlour and refreshments for the humans.
All the money raised at the event will go towards all the animals in the care of St Giles, which is based at Wrantage.
The charity's Mel O'Sullivan said: "Due to Covid, we have not been able to hold this event for some time, so we are very excited to see as many faces as possible at the event and supporting the work we do.
"We will also have a few of our rescue dogs join us at some point in the day to say hello."
Among activities on the day are have-a-go agility and dog training advice; temptation alley; a raffle with fabulous prizes including a £100 Amazon gift card and M&S hamper; tap or tipple, face painting; glitter tattoos; and hook a duck.
All classes for the dog show can be entered on the day.
Entry is £2 of £5 for families.
St Giles Animal Rescue looks after and cares for abused, abandoned and displaced pets, including dogs, cats, small animals and even the odd sheep.
All the animals are ready for adoption once they have been treated, trained and prepared for a better life - check out which animals are available on the centre's Pets for Adoption page on its website.
As a charity, St Giles relies on people's support and that of its sponsors to help cover the costs of veterinary, boarding and food bills.
It is appealing for supporters to buy a dog a dinner, knit a blanket for the cattery or bake buns to raise funds.
