LADYMEAD Community School, Taunton, has been recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country for the second year in succession.
It made the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust most improved schools' list for GCSE exam progress between 2004-07.
Ladymead was included for achieving more than 10% improvement in five or more A*-Cs, with year on year improvement.
Assistant head teacher Tom McIntyre received a certificate to mark the award at a dinner in London.
Head teacher Mark Trusson said: "We are delighted to receive this recognition for the second year running.
"Ladymead is not only a fast improving school, as seen by this award, but is now achieving results that take us towards the top end of the league tables in Somerset.
"Pupils, staff, governors and parents are working incredibly hard to ensure Ladymead is a centre of excellence in learning."
