A MAN has been arrested and another has been left in hospital after a fight in Glastonbury High Street.

Police were called to the scene outside St John's Church at around 6.20am this morning (Monday, September 12).

The man who has been taken to hospital is being treated for cuts and other injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: "A man is in custody and another has been taken to hospital after police were called to reports of two men fighting in Glastonbury High Street.

"Witnesses called officers at about 6.20am on Monday September 12, and a man in his 30s was arrested about 20 minutes later on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Somerset County Gazette:

"A man in his 40s went to hospital for treatment to cuts which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
