SOMERSET County Cricket Club has announced a brand new community partnership with Young Somerset.
Young Somerset is the largest youth work charity in Somerset and the aim of the charity is to work with young people and encourage them to take responsibility for themselves whilst becoming actively involved in shaping the communities in which they live.
Somerset County Cricket Club, in conjunction with Somerset Cricket Foundation will be working alongside Young Somerset in order to help the charity to engage and support young people.
This will cover a range of social, economic, educational and recreational opportunities designed to encourage social inclusion and life-long learning.
Part of this initiative will see Somerset 2023 Members receive a 10% discount in Young Somerset’s Bold & Brave shop at Riverside Place in Taunton’s Independent Quarter.
Bold & Brave sells unique handmade goods and locally sourced products, all made by young people or to support young people.
It also acts as a community hub, a social enterprise space and a place that provides young people with the opportunity to have visible retail roles whilst gaining work experience and life skills training.
