ALL traffic will be prohibited from using a road connecting a town and a neighbouring village later this month.
The closure is between Wiveliscombe and Langley Marsh over nine days.
The order, publicised by Somerset County Council, will be in force between 6pm and 8am the following day.
It is due to come into effect on Monday, November 21, lasting until Wednesday, November 30.
The section or road involved is Langley Marsh Road from 20 metres north west of the junction with Whitefield Road south eastwards for a distance of 804 metres and North Street from its junction with Allensdale Close, southwards for 615 metres - a total of 1,419 metres.
The road closure will enable Telent to carry out works to install new fibre cabling.
