TAUNTON will begin its Christmas celebrations for 2022 with at a 'Winter Fest' later this month.
The event, which will see the Christmas lights switched-on, will take place in the town centre on Sunday, November 20.
The Winter Fest is an event put on by Ben De-Vey’s Family Fun Fair. This is the sixth year running that it has run the entertainment event.
A spokesperson from Winter Fest said: "The countdown to Christmas is almost upon us but not to worry, we have the perfect day planned to get yourself in the Christmas spirit.
"We’re so excited for this event to be taking place."
As part of Winter Fest, locals can expect:
- Free entertainment throughout the day,
- Meet and greets with the Naughty Christmas Elves, the Snow Queen and Nutcracker on stilts,
- Free Santas grotto,
- Funfair rides for everyone throughout the town, and
- A large Christmas Market, supplying a range festive foods and gifts for the big day.
