WELLINGTON honoured its war dead with a Remembrance Sunday parade, service and laying of wreaths yesterday (Sunday, November 13).
The parade started at Wellington School led by the school CCF Corps of Drums, and included members of a number of local organisations.
It made its way to Wellington Park, where hundreds of people had assembled.
The Royal British Legion (RBL) chaplain, the Rev Sam Griffiths, of Wellington Baptist Church, gave the address at a brief service.
The wreath laying followed, with the names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice read out by RBL Wellington president Michael Rose.
