TAUNTON Town are for now focussing on their next league match this weekend however after they advanced in the FA Trophy at the weekend, Rob Dray is excited for another cup run.

Rob Dray said: "That was a proper cup tie today, especially at the end, with the yellow cards and a red for their captain at the end there.

"I thought we were a bit timid at times in the first half, trying to force the perfect shot or pass.

"But that changed in the second half, we were magnificent, two great goals. We dug in and when it turned into a niggly cup tie we got the job done."

Taunton had to show some spirit in the second half as they were a goal down, Dray said the team talk was to keep it simple.

"I wasn't overly concerned at the break, I thought we had the territory and posession but we needed to take the hand brake off a little bit.

"After the break we did that and got two quick goals, and held on to the lead."

Nat Jarvis has been in some good form of late and Dray is happy for him.

"Really pleased for Nat Jarvis now, especially the last two or three games he has really come to the party.

"He had a tough season last year not playing but this season he has come into his own and today he looked like a proper, proper striker. He was great."

Somerset County Gazette:

In terms of another cup run, Dray added it was pleasing to advance.

"We are happy to progress, it is another few quid in the bank.

"We really wanted to do well in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy this season, and we are really pleased with how we are doing.

"They are always our priority and we want to go as far as we can."

For player news going forward, Ollie Chamberlain was back in the squad after an injury and Jared Lewington returned from his loan.

Despite that, Jake Wannell is still unavailable through injury.

"Jared is back at the club after a good loan spell at Plymouth Parkway, he will be back and in and around it for us, we have plenty of games.

"He looks fit and sharp so we will see what happens with Jared.

"Jake Wannell will still be out for a couple of weeks but is progressing nicely and Ollie Chamberlain, could be back starting as soon next week."
