THE A358 at Combe Florey was closed this morning due to mud on the road and partial flooding.
The issue caused delays in the early hours on Tuesday and took teams from Travel Somerset approximately one hour to clear.
Travel Somerset said at 7.46am on Tuesday, December 20: "The A358 at Combe Florey is currently closed due to mud and partial flooding. Teams are working to clear the road.
Shortly after it provided an update advising the road has re-opened northbound.
"Update 8am - northbound on A358 at Combe Florey has now reopened following earlier flooding."
This is not the first time this stretch of road has flooded with mud this year.
In September, Cllr Mike Rigby said on the flooding at this road: "We cannot have land adjacent to the highway continuing to pour mud and crops onto the public highway with every heavy rainstorm, causing massive inconvenience to the travelling public."
