BERENSENS Solicitors recently held a Christmas drinks event for local businesses at their offices in Taunton in which they collected gifts to donate to children in need.
The firm invited their guests to bring gifts for the children at Musgrove Park Hospital over the Christmas period.
Berensens Solicitors are still a new firm to the town, having opened their offices at 15 The Crescent earlier in 2022.
Since then, the office has grown, with both Rachael Kennett leading the conveyancing team in Taunton, and Will Vine joining to head Private Client in October.
The firm was founded by Carinna Parsons and Richard Haste in Chard in 2017, dedicated to offering the very highest levels of legal advice and customer service to clients in the locality.
Carinna Parsons said: “We were keen to invite a few local businesses to our new offices for an opportunity to meet our team. However, this was also a chance to do something for the community at Christmas”.
The event at Berensens Solicitors was a huge success, with estate agents, accountants and others in local business in attendance, and nearly one hundred gifts donated.
There was also a wide range of presents, for all ages, from Lego sets to board games, and Playdough to Playmobil.
Having collected the gifts, the search was now on for Santa Claus to make the delivery.
Jane Gregory and the rest of the team at Historic Helicopters in Chard were available to help, with their flying Father Christmas.
Historic Helicopters collected the gifts in their Sea King helicopter, delivering them to Musgrove, where the hospital’s play specialist Jane Horne was ready to collect.
Will Vine added: “Two years ago, whilst my daughter was undergoing chemotherapy, I spent a great deal of time on Oak Ward at Musgrove.
"I am very well aware of the wonderful support and care provided by the team. No child wants to be in hospital over Christmas, so hopefully this will help make things a little brighter over the festive period”.
