POLICE in Taunton seized a quantity of suspected drugs and cash following a tip off from the public.
A "white powder" and bank notes and coins were confiscated yesterday morning (Christmas Eve).
Officers are linking the find to a man they had arrested the previous night (Friday, December 23).
A spokesperson for Taunton Neighbourhood Policing team yesterday posted on Twitter: "Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow....
"This morning the team has seized a quantity of white powder and cash thanks to some community information, which we suspect is linked to a male arrested last night.
"Not quite the White Christmas we were expecting..."
Members of the policing team were also on patrol in the town centre yesterday engaging with last-minute shoppers and "deterring those who choose not to pay for their shopping".
