TAUNTON Town confirmed earlier in the week that midfielder Ross Staley has joined Yate Town on a dual-registration contract.

This means Staley will remain a Taunton player, and should they require his services, he will play, however his main focus will now be playing for Yate.

Yate manager John Rendell said on the signing: "Ross is someone who will be excellent for us as he improves his game time and fitness levels he will become a huge asset for our young squad when with us.

Staley made his debut for Taunton Town on November 1, 2016 in a Southern League match against Slimbridge.

Since then he has played an integral part of the Taunton Town journey over the last few seasons and is highly thought of around the club.

This season game time has been limited for Staley so this move will get him back to playing more frequently.
