A WRITER told by her schoolteacher she'd never be an author has just published her second book.

Reunited by LB Cotton, from West Bradley, near Glastonbury, has come out two years after her debut novel My Montana Ride.

She determined to prove wrong her English teacher from a school in her native Denmark, who told her to give up on her writing dream.

The mother of two adult daughters and former nurse recently undertook a writing course and has now written her two fiction books with a mix of romance, life lessons and a feel of reality.

She said: "The quote, ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’ sits proudly on the homepage of my website.

"The harsh words from all those years ago at school have stayed with me but I have proved that I can do it and I can do it well.

"I really hope all the readers enjoy my books as much I enjoyed writing them."
