FORMER Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has announced he is performing in Taunton this summer.

His High Flying Birds have today (Monday, February 6) been confirmed as one of the bands playing at the Live in Somerset show.

The event takes place in Vivary Park, Taunton, on Thursday, August 24.

The band will perform a set featuring a selection of Oasis hits through to current day favourites.

Joining the line-up for the evening are indie rock band, Ride, a big name in the music scene. More support acts are set to be announced.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 10) at 9am from ticketline.co.uk or in person from Taunton Visitor Centre in the town centre.

The band’s Live in Somerset show is part of an extended run of open air summer shows that will follow the release of Gallagher’s much anticipated new album ‘Council Skies’, which will be released on 2nd of June 2023. The album features recently released ‘Pretty Boy’ and the brand new single ‘Easy Now’.

Also appearing at Live in Somerset are The Proclaimers, who will be on stage in the park on Monday, August 28. Also appearing the same day are The Feeling, B*Witched, Dodgy and Sandi Thom.

McFly will headline on bank holiday Saturday, August 26.
