A TOTAL of £2,223.46 donated by Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm and the Crafts@Christmas shop before Christmas is being shared between Children’s Hospice South West and The Beacon Centre.

Nick Hendy, from the farm at Langford Budville, said: “£1,025.74 was raised for CHSW through buckets and collection tins on site throughout November and December.

"IRIE 7 coffee also donated towards the total through proceeds from delicious treats they sold.

"The £1,197.72 collected for The Beacon Centre was done so through collection tins in the Crafts@Christmas shop.

“Without our customers’ ongoing support, this would not have been possible."

Emma Perry, head of fundraising at Little Bridge House, at CHSW, said: “Thank you to Langford Lakes for your incredible gift of £1,025.74 from your festive fundraising.

"It is really appreciated by every family who receives our care.

"It’s because of your customers generosity and kindness that we can continue to care and support children and young people with life-limiting conditions across the South West.”

The Beacon Centre, at Musgrove Park Hospital, treats patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy and helps manage the side effects of these treatments.

Elliott Collett, fundraising assistant for Love Musgrove, said: “Thank you so much to the Crafts@Christmas shop for the amazing donation received.

"The generosity shown is heart-warming and the donation will truly change the lives of many.

"Thanks to incredible donations to The Beacon Centre, we have been able to send staff on the most up-to-date training courses, purchase the self check-in kiosks in the centre and support the design of printing of a cancer manual.”
