THE Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in Taunton have changed their names.

Both franchises are now known as Vertu Motors.

It follows the acquisition by Vertu Motors plc of the vehicle sales outlets, along with Taunton Motor Company Volvo, in Priory Way, previously owned by Helston Garages Group Ltd.

Vertu has announced that two further Jaguar retail sites in Exeter and Truro and three others Land Rover in Exeter, Truro and Yeovil are also adopting the Vertu Motors name.

Vertu Motors plc acquired a total of 28 franchised sales outlets from Helston Garages Group last December in a £117million deal and has commenced a rebrand.

The existing retail dealership management teams and members of staff will continue in their roles, giving customers in the area continuity of service.

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors plc, said: “I am delighted to welcome these excellent Jaguar and Land Rover retailers to the Vertu Motors family.

“Although the name over the doors has changed, I can reassure customers they will see familiar faces and be looked after with the same fantastic service they are used to.”

Vertu Motors recently confirmed a partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club, with its branding to feature on the sleeve of the Club’s LV=Insurance County Championship and One-Day Cup playing shirts.

Vertu Motors will also become a One-Day Cup Big Screen Boundary Partner and T20 Live Stream Partner, in addition to featuring on the front of the Somerset County Cricket Club Women’s playing shirts.
