A SINGER songwriter from Wellington is filming in the local area ahead of the release of her debut single.

Kiera Alice Chard is in the process of prepping the song. Virtually Addicted, for release this summer.

The music video is being filmed at locations in Wellington and Minehead next Friday and Saturday (March 24 and 25).

Keira grew up in Rockwell Green, where she attended the primary school before going to Court Fields.

As a girl, she performed in a production of Jack and the Bean Stalk in the Wellesley Cinema.

She has a degree in musical theatre and has performed on stage at the The Edinburgh Fringe and on screen, including the BBC, ITV, Netflix and Prime.

Her music has been featured on BBC Radio Somerset and BBC Introducing South West.
